Hattrick League 25 is an independent editorial index of hotels, sorted into four kinds: art hotels, capsule hotels, casino hotels and ice hotels. The point of the sorting is that these four categories ask genuinely different things of a guest, and comparing a Tokyo cabin berth to a Paris townhouse on a single scale would tell you nothing useful.

Every entry is written as prose, because a hotel is a place rather than a specification. We describe what a property is, where it sits, what shapes a stay there and what the trade-offs are. We do not publish star ratings, guest reviews, scores or rankings, and we do not take bookings.

The index is not exhaustive and does not try to be. Categories are added to when there is something worth adding. The ice hotel section carries one entry because the world contains very few genuine ice hotels, and padding it would make the index less honest, not more complete.

Descriptions reflect the general, durable character of each property. Hotels renovate, rebrand, change operators and change what they offer. Always confirm current details with the property before you travel.
